Overview

The Acura MDX returns for 2006 with a few minor changes. The Touring model receives ebony colored Zebra wood-pattern center console and door switches along with satin chrome accents. Acura has increased the powertrain warranty on all models from four years or 50,000 miles to six years or 70,000 miles. The MDX powertrain consist of a 3.5L 253-hp V6 engine mated to a standard five-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and Grade Logic Control. Standard features on all models include a power moonroof, automatic climate control, XM satellite radio and a Homelink universal transmitter. The Touring models are upgraded with a 225 watt Bose Music system with six-disc in-dash CD changer and a HandsFreeLink that enables a Bluetooth wireless interface with mobile phones.
