Overview

The Volvo XC90 enters 2006 with a revised model line-up: 2.5T, the new V8, and the Ocean Race Edition (the T6 trim was dropped for this year). The new V8 sport utility boasts a 311-hp 4.4L V8 engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, and an all-wheel drive system with Instant Traction. Simplified package and option choices round out the list of changes for this year. The optional Premium Package features leather seats, a power moonroof, a power passenger seat, and a six-disc CD changer. A Climate Package can also be selected, offering heated seats and headlight washers. Other extra cost options include metallic paint, rear entertainment system, premium alloy wheels, a DVD-based navigation system, an air quality system, and bi-xenon HID headlights.
