Overview

The 2006 ION sedan and quad coupe return with little change from last years model. The ION is available in three trimlines: ION 1, ION 2, and the ION 3 in both manual and automatic transmissions. Enhanced safety features include optional side head curtain protection, dual front airbags, child door locks, and the LATCH child safety restraint system. Available on the ION is OnStar communication services, roadside assistance, convenience and concierge services, and stolen vehicle tracking. Optional equipment includes four-wheel anti-lock brakes with traction control, AM/FM stereo with CD and MP3 player. A six-disc in-dash CD changer and power glass sunroof are also available on ION 2 and 3 models.
