Overview

For 2006 the Jeep Liberty is carried over from the previous model year and is available in six models--Sport, Renegade and Limited Editions in either 2WD or 4WD. Jeep introduces two new colors, Inferno Red and Midnight Blue. Other changes for this year include standard six-way power driver seat on Limited models with optional leather, heated seats, and a standard six-way power passenger seat. Additionally, a mini overhead console with trip computer and vehicle information center is optional on the Sport. Functionally, the 3.7L engine is standard and the 2.4L I-4 no longer available. For increased safety and handling, all models come with an Electronic Stability Program with ABS, Roll Mitigation feature, brake assist, and traction Control.
