Overview

The PT Cruiser returns this year with the four-door wagon and the two-door convertible bodystyles. New for 2006 is an updated front grille with chrome accents, headlamps, and fog lamps. A 230-hp engine now replaces the 220-hp engine from last years model. The PT Cruiser also received a new interior that includes a new instrument panel with larger graphics, a sliding armrest, covered storage space, and new seat trims and fabrics. Standard equipment on all models includes solar-tinted glass windows, HVAC System and, an AM/FM radio with CD player. Exterior paint choices have also been revised with the addition of Marine Blue Pearl Coat and Magnesium Pearl Coat. The PT Cruiser can be equipped with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
