Overview
For 2005, Ford's full-size three-quarter ton truck returns with several changes. Revisions to the F250 Super Duty include increasing payload and towing ratings, new engines, an updated exterior design, and a new unique trailer brake control system. Engine choices include the Triton 5.4L V-8 and 6.8L V-10, and the Power Stroke 6.0L diesel. TorqShift, Ford's heavy-duty automatic transmission, is now offered on all engine choices. The F250 boasts several choices to the consumer: 2WD or 4WD configurations, Regular Cab, SuperCab, or Crew Cab bodystyles, short or long bed lengths, and three trim levels, XL, LT, or Lariat. Limited edition vehicles are also offered, including the Harley-Davidson and King Ranch Super Duty Truck.
