Overview

For 2006, the 2.5X Premium Package model now replaces the 2.5 XS model. An additional model has also been added, 2.5XT Limited. The 2006 Forester line-up now consists of four trims: 2.5 X, 2.5 X Premium Package, L.L. Bean Edition, and 2.5 XT Limited. All models, with the exception of the L.L. Bean Edition, are equipped with a five-speed manual transmission. The L.L. Bean Edition comes with a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include keyless remote entry, power windows and doors, and an air filtration system. Additional new features include advanced frontal air bag system, a security system, and Desert Beige or Graphite Gray interior. New for 2006 is an upgraded new front fascia, new grille, four-lamp headlight clusters, fender, hood, and bumper.
