Overview
Ford's heavy-duty full-ton truck returns for 2006 with little change. The F350 boasts several choices to the consumer: 2WD or 4WD configurations, Regular Cab, Super Cab, or Crew Cab bodystyles, short or long bed lengths, and three trim levels, XL, LT, or Lariat. Engine choices include the Triton 5.4L V-8 and 6.8L V-10, and the Power Stroke 6.0L diesel Engine. Ford's TorqShift heavy-duty five-speed automatic transmission is offered on all engine choices along side the standard six-speed manual transmission. Other available upgrade packages include the FX4 Off-Road Package for 4WD models, XLT Sport Package, and an Advanced Security Group that features power locks, remote keyless entry, and auto-on headlamps is also available.
