Overview

Ford's full-size three-quarter ton truck returns for 2006 with little change. The F250 is available in several choices to the consumer: 2WD or 4WD configurations, Regular Cab, SuperCab, or Crew Cab bodystyles, short or long bed lengths, and three trim levels, XL, LT, or Lariat. Engine choices include the Triton 5.4L V-8 and 6.8L V-10, and the Power Stroke 6.0L diesel. Ford's TorqShift heavy-duty five-speed automatic transmission is offered on all engine choices along side the standard six-speed manual transmission. Other available upgrade packages include the FX4 Off-Road Package for 4WD models, XLT Sport Package, and an Advanced Security Group that features power locks, remote keyless entry, and auto-on headlamps is also available.
