Overview

The 2006 Chrysler 300 returns with little change. The 300 is available in the following trim lines: 300, Touring, Limited, 300C, and 300C SRT 8. The 300 come with RWD or AWD, a 2.7L V6 paired to a four-speed automatic transmission, and 17-inch wheels. The Touring and Limited are equipped with a 3.5L V6 paired to a four-speed automatic transmission, but have the option of an extra-cost five-speed automatic. The 300C, in RWD or AWD are equipped with a 5.7L HEMI V8 engine that produces 340 horsepower and features a Multi-Displacement System, which increases the HEMI fuel efficiency. For the SRT8, Chrysler has taken the 5.7L Hemi engine and increased the displacement to 6.1L. The 6.1L Hemi engine produces 425 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque.
