Overview

Hyundai's small SUV returns for 2005 with some upgrades. The Santa Fe is available as a GLS or LX in either a 2WD or 4WD configuration. The GLS is available with either the 2.7L V6 engine with 170-hp paired to a four-speed automatic transmission or a 3.5L V6 engine with 200-hp coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission. The LX comes equipped with the 3.5L V6. Exterior upgrades include a grille, bodyside cladding, taillights, rear bumper and 16-inch alloy wheels. Interior refinements include an instrument cluster and a power driver's seat that is now standard on the LX. Standard safety equipment for all models includes four-wheel disc brakes, side impact air bags, and power heated outside mirrors.
