Overview

The 2005 Jetta will serve a short stay, as an all-new version gets ready for it's introduction in Spring of 2005. It is again available in Sedan or Wagon with several different engine choices: 2.0L, 1.9L Turbo Diesel, and 1.8L Turbo. The GLI model is no longer available with the 2.8L V6 engine. The GLI 1.8T is now available with a Tiptronic automatic transmission. An OnStar Telematics Communication System is offered as an option on all Jetta models. Other options that can be ordered with the GLI models include an electronic stabilization program, rear spoiler, and a 6-disc CD changer located in the trunk. The GLS models can be equipped with a Sport Package containing 17-inch alloy wheels, wheel locks, and sport-tuned suspension.
