Overview
For 2005, the Wrangler returns with minimal changes. All Jeep Wranglers feature an all-new six-speed manual transmission. A new Premium package on the Unlimited model features new and unique cloth seats, silver painted center stack and instrument cluster bezels, bright grille and body color fender flares. Also new is an optional six-disc in-dash CD changer system that arrives later in the model year. The Rubicon off-road model features Dana 44 heavy-duty axles, 31-inch tall tires, 16-inch aluminum Moab wheels, a heavy-duty transfer case, and four-wheel disc brakes. Also standard on the Rubicon is Tru-Lok, an electronically controlled locking differential with push-button operation that allows either both axles to be locked or only the rear one.
