Overview
For 2005, Ford's quarter-ton truck returns with several changes. Revisions to the F150 include a new 4.2L V6 engines, an updated exterior design, and rearward-swinging access doors to make it easier to reach the cargo area. Engine choices include the new 4.2L V6, a 4.6L Triton V8 and a 5.4L Triton V-8. The F150 boasts several choices to the consumer: 2WD or 4WD configurations, Regular Cab, Super Cab, or SuperCrew Cab bodystyles, three truck bed lengths, two truck bed styles, and five trim levels, SXT, XL, XLT, FX4, or Lariat. A King Ranch Trim is available on the SuperCrew model and includes Castano leather power-adjustable heated captain's chairs, Arizona Beige running boards, 18-inch seven spoke wheels, and King Ranch badging.
