Overview
The 2005 Tundra 4WD is carried over from the previous year with few changes. It is available only as an Access Cab in SR5 or Limited trim. The Tundra 2WD features a new 4.0L V-6 engine producing 245 horsepower and 282 lb-ft. of torque. The 4.7L V-8, standard on SR5 and Limited models, also gets an increase in horsepower from 240 to 282. A new six-speed manual transmission replaces the old five-speed variety. An All-Weather Guard Package containing heavy-duty battery and starter and outside heated mirrors is available on all models. In addition, there is an extensive list of post-production options available including a tonneau cover, security system, side steps, and bedliners.
