Overview
The GMC Yukon XL returns for 2005 with minor changes. This full-size SUV is available in 1500 and 2500 tonnage in 2WD and 4WD, and the AWD Denali. The standard power plant for 1500 models is a 5.3L 295 horsepower Flex Fuel V8, and a 6.0L 335 horsepower for 2500 and Denali models. All engine options are coupled with an electronically controlled, four-speed automatic transmission. The Denali features upgrades such as adjustable power pedals, heated leather seats, and the OnStar Communications system. Optional features on the Base model Yukon XL include a rear entertainment system, power glass moonroof, and XM satellite radio. When equipped with the optional third-row seat, the Yukon can seat up to nine passengers.
