Overview

For 2005, the Colorado returns with little change. Crew Cab versions are available in two models: LS trim, in either 2WD or 4WD configuration. The base engine is a 2.8L 175 hp in-line four cylinder, while a 220 hp 3.5L in-line five-cylinder engine is available as an upgrade or as part of the ZQ8 or Z71 suspension. Both engines are available with either a manual or an automatic transmission. 2WD Colorado's can be ordered with an optional Sport Suspension Package, which features a lowered ride height, 17-inch wheels with low profile tires, and body-colored exterior components. The Z71 Off-Road Package is also available on all models and contains front fog lights, tow hooks, limited slip differential, mud guards, and off-road suspension system.
