Overview
The 2005 Tundra 4WD is carried over from the previous year with few changes. It is available as a Regular Cab in Work Truck Trim or as a Double Cab in SR5 or Limited trim. The Tundra 4WD features a new 4.0L V-6 engine producing 245 horsepower and 282 lb-ft. of torque. The 4.7L V-8, standard on SR5 and Limited models, also gets an increase in horsepower from 240 to 282. A new six-speed manual transmission replaces the old five-speed variety. An All-Weather Guard Package containing heavy-duty battery and starter and outside heated mirrors is available on all models. In addition, there is an extensive list of post-production options available including a tonneau cover, security system, side steps, and bedliners.
