Overview
Cadillac's versatile full-size SUV returns for 2005 with several interior and exterior updates. Available in Base and Platinum Edition, the Escalade ESV it fitted with a high-output 6.0L V-8, which boasts 345-hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. Exterior additions for this year include a bright chrome exhaust tip and the new Riptide exterior paint color. The interior has been upgraded with a premium instrument cluster, burled walnut trim, and an all-new cooling system. Other changes include a new 6.5-inch navigation touch screen and an improved OnStar hardware system, which now has enhanced hand-free capability. The Platinum Edition adds exclusive features such as heated and cooled seats and cup holders, 20-inch chrome wheels, and a lowered suspension.
