Overview
For 2005, Ford's cross over SUV/pick-up truck returns with no major changes. It is again available in 2WD and 4WD configurations and in several trims: XLS, XLT, XLT Premium, and Adrenalin. The Explorer Sport Trac is powered by a 4.0L V-6 coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission. Both MP3 capability and Sirius Satellite radio capability are now standard on all audio systems. Two new exterior colors have also been added for this year, Bright Red and Dark Stone. Standard equipment across the board includes aluminum wheels, air conditioning, power convenience features, an anti-theft system, and cloth bucket seats. The higher trims upgrade by adding remote keyless entry, fog lights, power seats, and a premium sound system with six-disc CD changer.
