Overview
The 2005 XLS Excursion is available in 2WD and 4WD configurations. The 2WD and 4WD model are available with the 5.4L V8 255-hp, 6.0L V8 turbo diesel producing 325-hp and 560 lbs-ft. of torque, or the 6.8L V10 310-hp engine. The 5.4L and 6.8L engines are paired to a four-speed automatic transmission while the 6.0L is paired to a five-speed automatic. The XLS models are the only models of the Excursion line-up that seats nine passengers. Redesigned exterior features for this year include jeweled headlamps, grille, and bumpers.
