Overview

For 2005, the Subaru Impreza is available in several models: 2.5 RS and WRX in sedan or wagon configuration, and WRX Sti sedan. The 2.5 RS sedan with Sport Package and the WRX sedan with Premium Package are listed as models. A 2.5L 165 hp four-cylinder engine powers the 2.5 RS while the turbocharged WRX engine generates 227 hp. With a few modifications made to the engine, the WRX STi produces 300 hp and 300 lbs/ft of torque. Standard on all Impreza models are collapsible pedal controls that "break away" during a frontal impact to help reduce foot injuries. A Premium Sound Package can be ordered with all 2.5 RS and includes upgraded speakers, subwoofer/amplifier and tweeter kit.
