Overview
The 2005 S-Type returns with a redesigned exterior and the addition of a new trim line. The S-Type is available with the new 2.7L V6, 3.0L V6, 2.5L V6, and Type - R, which has a supercharged 4.2L V8 with 390 horsepower. The new 2.7L engine is a diesel twin-turbo with 206 hp, 320 lb. of torque, and a 0-60 time of 8.1 seconds. New exterior enhancements include a rear end design, an aluminum bonnet, grille, headlamps, and five new wheel styles. Other options include a power glass moonroof, xenon headlamps, a DVD-based Navigation system, a six-disc CD changer, and heated front seats. The optional Sport Package ads sport-tuned suspension, upgraded alloy wheels, perforated leather sport bucket seats, and wood and chrome trim.
