Overview

The Tribute returns for 2005 with a few key updates and only two trims: i and s in 2WD or 4WD configuration. The updates include a new base engine and an updated interior. The base model Tribute is now equipped with a larger 2.3L engine producing 153 horsepower while the 200-hp 3.0L V6 is still offered on the S trims. The four-wheel drive system has also been replaced with a new electronically controlled system. Safety has been enhanced for this year with the addition of advanced airbag system. The air bags are now deployed based on the position of the driver or the front passengers weight. The interior has also been updated with new redesigned seats, a floor mounted gear shifter, and additional storage compartments.
