Overview
For 2004, Mitsubishi has decided to phase out the XLS from the Montero line-up. With the lone remaining Limited Mitsubishi hopes the changes will align the Montero closer to its competitors and improve its competitiveness in the SUV segment. The Limited remains available with a 215-hp 3.8L 24-valve V6 engine mated to a five-speed Sportronic transmission. New for this year is a tire pressure monitoring system that actively monitors tire air pressure and alert the driver when the tire air pressure is to low. The only option available on the limited is an Entertainment Package that includes a drop -down 7 LCD screen, DVD player, and two infrared wireless headphones. New exterior colors include Soprano Silver Metallic, Champagne Metallic, and Viking White Pearl.
