Overview
The Mazda Miata returns for 2004 with minor changes. It is now available in three trims: Base, LS, and the all-new Mazdaspeed edition. Revisions include upgraded seats, newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels, an improved gear ratio in the six-speed manual transmission, and a new leather steering wheel and shift knob. Sound systems have also been upgraded, adding both speakers and power. New door edge guards are made available for this year as well. Other options include a cargo net, a six-disc CD changer, a vehicle sensor alarm, a rear spoiler, and an auto day/night rearview mirror. The Mazdaspeed models feature a 178 hp turbocharged engine, sport suspension, performance exhaust, and exterior trim upgrades.
