Overview
The Honda Insight returns for 2004 with only minor changes. The standard stereo system now includes a CD player and four speakers, options that were previously dealer-installed. The fuel gauge has also changed its illumination color from green to red. A seatbelt reminder system has been added to the standard equipment list. As always, the Insight boasts the best fuel economy with its 1.0L three-cylinder gas/electric engine, 60 city and 66 highway with the standard manual transmission. The optional CVT automatic transmission does lower the fuel economy slightly, but it remains popular with consumers. Automatic Climate Control can be added at an optional cost. Two new exterior color are added this year, Navy Blue Pearl and Silverstone Metallic.
