Overview
For 2004, Mercedes' top of the line the S-Class sedan returns with no major changes. The S-Class continues to offer luxurious amenities such as Drive Dynamic multicontour seats, a Bose twelve speaker surround sound system, and hand-fitted Nappa leather seating surfaces. The exterior can be outfitted with the optional AMG Sport package with sculpted front air dam, side sills and rear apron, and unique AMG monoblock wheels and high performance tires. All this is standard on the S55 AMG, along with a 5.4L 493 horsepower engine capable of propelling the S55 to 60 mph in only 4.6 seconds. The S600 features a twin-turbocharged V12, which offers similar horsepower to the S55 but produces 590 lb.-ft. of torque.
