Overview

Dodge has redesigned the Durango SUV for 2004. The Durango features new exterior styling and is slightly larger overall than its predecessor. Powertrain options have also been reconfigured - ST and SLT models feature a standard 3.7L V-6 engine, with a 4.7L V-8 available, while the Limited models receive the 4.7L engine as standard equipment. Additionally, all Durango models can be ordered with Dodge's new 5.7L Hemi V-8, which produces 335 hp and 370 lb.-ft. of torque. The old model's rigid axle/leaf spring rear suspension has been replaced with a live axle/coil spring design. New items have joined the options list, as well. These include a rear seat entertainment system, power sunroof, and Sirius Satellite Radio.
