Overview
Honda introduced the eight-passenger Pilot SUV in 2003 as a replacement for the Passport. It returns for 2004 largely unchanged. Available in three trims: LX, EX, and EX-L, the Pilot features a 3.5L 240 hp VTEC V-6 engine coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission. On-demand four-wheel drive, four-wheel ABS brakes, and front and side-impact airbags are also standard on all models. The EX-L trim adds a leather-trimmed interior with heated front seats. EX-L models can also be ordered with either a DVD-based rear seat entertainment system, or a vehicle navigation system. Dealer installed accessories are also available on LX models, such as 16-inch aluminum wheels and a theft deterrent system.
