Overview
The Sierra 3500 Regular Cab returns this model year with minimal changes to the interior and exterior. A 6.0L 300-hp Vortec V-8 engine coupled to a five-speed manual transmission is available as standard equipment on all models. Several different engine and transmission combinations are also available for the 2500 HD Regular Cab. The optional 6.6L Duramax turbocharged V-8 diesel engine provides 300 horsepower and 520 lb.-ft of torque, while the optional 8.1L gasoline V-8 generates a full 340 horsepower and 455 lb.-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission and an Allison five-speed automatic are also available. Additional upgrades include a limited slip differential and Trailering Special Equipment Group.
