Overview

For 2004 the Mazda truck 2WD returns with several enhancements. The B2300 base model now features a cloth bench seat instead of vinyl, and optional cloth bucket seats are now available for the B3000 SE cab plus and the B4000 DS cab plus. Power choices include a 2.3L 16-valve 143-hp four-cylinder engine, a 3.0L 12-valve 154-hp V6 engine, or a 4.0L 12-valve 207-hp V6 engine. A five-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard on all models, and a five-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is available for all models except the 2.3L Cab Plus. Cabin choices include a regular-sized two-door cabin, an extended-sized two-door cabin, and an extended-sized two-door cabin with rear access panel doors.
