Overview
The 2004 Sierra 1500 Regular Cab returns with minimal changes to the interior and exterior. It is available in 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive with a 6-ft. truck bed or 8-ft. truck bed. The Base Sierra 1500 2WD is powered by a 4.3L V6 that produces 200 horsepower. All other models are equipped with a 4.8L V8 producing 285 horsepower. A 5.3L V8 engine is optional. Standard equipment on the SLE include automatic door locks, a theft deterrent system, illuminated keyless remote entry, a leather wrapped steering wheel, custom cloth seating, and an AM/FM stereo with CD player. Available options include the OnStar Communication System (SLE models only), bed extender, bed top rail protectors, and engine block heater.
