Overview
The Wrangler line-up stays unchanged for 2004. The Rubicon off-road model features Dana 44 heavy-duty axles, 31-inch tall tires, 16-inch aluminum Moab wheels, a heavy-duty transfer case, and four-wheel disc brakes. Also standard on the Rubicon is Tru-Lok, an electronically controlled locking differential with push-button operation that allows either both axles to be locked or only the rear one. Other features include a new 2.4L DOHC engine (SE model only), an optional four-speed automatic transmission, and new seats. The sound systems have been redesigned and now have flush-mounted radios as well as rear speaker pods, which replace the sound bar.
