Overview

Concurrent with the launch of the newly redesigned 2004 F-150 pickup, Ford will continue to offer the 2003 model F-150 (largely unchanged) as the Heritage model. The F-150 Heritage is available in both XL and XLT trim, in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. All Heritage Regular Cab models can be equipped with either a 6.5 ft. or 8 ft. truck bed. Powertrain options include a standard 4.2L V-6 engine or a 4.6L 231-hp V-8. A 5-speed manual transmission is still standard on V-6 equipped models, but all others feature a 4-speed automatic. A Work Truck package, featuring reduced exterior and interior trim levels, is available on XL models for a discount off the vehicle's retail price.
