Overview
The 2003 Lancer receives the addition of a high performance Evolution AWD model. An inline four-cylinder 2.0L 16-valve engine powers the Lancer with the Evolution receiving a modified turbocharged variant that produces 271 hp and 273 lb.-ft of torque. A five-speed manual transmission is standard on the ES, OZ-Rally and Evolution models. The four-speed automatic transmission is standard on the LS model and available for the ES and OZ-Rally models. Standard features include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, tilt steering wheel, and reclining front high-back bucket seats. Safety features include front passenger air bags, LATCH child safety seat anchors, and numerous body/chassis reinforcements and enhancements.
