Overview
For 2004 the Grand Cherokee receives a face-lift that includes a restyled front fascia. The Grand Cherokee is available in three trims - Laredo, Limited and Overland in two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive configuration. On the Laredo and Limited, a six-cylinder 4.0L 195-hp engine is standard, while a 4.7L 235-hp V8 engine is optional. Also available for the Limited is a high-output 4.7L 265-hp V8 engine (Standard on the Overland.) Along with a new front fascia the Grand Cherokee also receives no-charge roof rail crossbars and two new exterior colors - Deep Lava Red and Midnight Blue. Enhanced safety features include standard LATCH child safety seat anchors, available ceiling-mounted side curtain air bags, and optional tire pressure monitoring system.
