Overview
The 2003 Accent marks its first revision for the second generation since its introduction in 2000. With minor exterior enhancements, the 2003 Accents are now powered with a 1.6L four-cylinder engine boasting 104 horsepower. The GL models now feature air conditioning, tachometer, digital clock and a 60/40 split folding rear seat. The GL 4-door is also fitted with a remote trunk release and child safety rear door locks. The GT 3-door now offers the popular GT Package which features sport suspension, 14-inch alloy wheels with P185/60-14 tires, front fog lamps, a rear spoiler, and color-keyed rocker panel moldings. New exterior colors for 2003 include Glacier Blue, Ebony Black, Silver Mist, and Retro Red.
