Overview
The Volvo S80 sedan continues with few changes from last year's model and is available in two models, the 2.9 and the T-6 Turbo. New for this year is an available Homelink integrated system that permits the driver to turn on the lights in his or her home from the car upon arrival in the driveway. Standard features include a revised multiplex electrical system and the Whiplash Protection System (WHIPS) inflatable air bag curtain for the side windows. Additional standard features include the 201 horsepower 2.9 liter engine, ignition immobilizer theft deterrent system, and power seats, windows and door locks. The S80 T-6 model includes a 268 horsepower twin turbocharged 2.8 liter engine and the Geartronic 4-speed automatic transmission.
