Overview
Nissan is again offering the Maxima in three models - GXE, SE and GLE. Revisions for 2000 include a new interior design and an increased trunk volume. The Maxima is equipped with a 3.0L V6 engine boasting 222-hp, a 32-hp increase from last year. GLE model upgrades include automatic climate control, leather seats, a universal transmitter and a Bose stereo system with cassette and CD. The optional Deluxe Seating Package, available on all models, includes front side impact airbags, heated front seats, truck lid trim and heated outside mirrors. Additional options include a power sunroof, traction control and gold badging. An optional automatic transmission can be equipped to GXE and SE models while it remains standard on the GLE.
