Overview
The 2000 Protege optional LX and ES Premium Packages now includes front seat side airbags and an enhanced ABS system with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBFD). The EBFD system automatically adjusts the braking force of the rear brakes depending on vehicle load. For 2000, Protege receives interior improvements such as chrome accents to the inner door handles, parking brake and A/T shift lever buttons and illuminated power window switches for LX and ES models. A tachometer is also standard on LX and ES models. The driver+s seat on LX and ES models features height adjustment. The split folding 60/40 rear seat is standard on all models. The Protege also offers roadside assistance for the length of the warranty period.
