Overview
The restyled 2000 GMC Yukon is available in either 2WD or 4WD models. Two new, more powerful Vortec engines provide higher tow ratings and increase Yukon's gross combined weight ratings (GCWR). Other improvements include a 23-percent increase in body stiffness, larger brakes and a new five-link rear coil spring suspension. New interior features include a power sliding/tilt glass sunroof, a nine-speaker audio system with rear audio controls and an optional third row split bench seat. Safety features are enhanced with the addition of standard front side air bags, upgraded ABS and Dynamic Brake Proportioning (DBP). Optional on the Yukon is Autoride, an automatically adjusting shock dampening system that controls shock damping in order to optimize ride control.
