Overview
The Excursion is introduced as an all new full-size sport utility vehicle for this year. It is available in two trim levels: XLT and Limited, in both 2WD and 4WD models. The Excursion is built on the same chassis platform as the Super Duty F-Series pickups and has a seating capacity of nine people. The 2WD models include the standard Triton 5.4 liter SOHC V8 engine while the 4WD models include the standard Triton 310 horsepower 6.8 liter V10 engine. The 7.3 liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel engine is also available. Standard equipment includes a remote keyless entry system, power windows and door locks and Securilock passive anti-theft system. Options include leather captains chairs, heated mirrors and a limited-slip rear axle.
