Overview
The Land Cruiser is the first vehicle in Toyota+s history to receive a V8 engine. The 4.7-liter V8 delivers 230-hp and 320-lb/ft of torque. This is an improvement of an additional 18 more horses and 45 more pound/feet of torque. The fifth generation Land Cruiser debuted in late 1998 thus, the 1999 had minimal changes. A key change is the addition of an optional rear automatic climate control for greater comfort for rear passengers. The Land Cruiser is offered with many standard equipment such as power windows and locks, heated power front seats and automatic climate control. Optional equipment include power sliding moonroof, leather seats, independent rear automatic climate control and third seat with power swing out rear quarter windows.
