Intellichoice Review
The 1999 Celica is available in GT Liftback and GT Convertible. The GT Coupe had been eliminated for 1999. The Celica is equipped with power front and rear disc brakes. Anti-lock brakes are available option. The Convertible+s unibody is reinforced for extra rigidity. The power convertible top is electro-mechanical to allow operation in an emergency situation. The optional Upgrade Packages are available on Liftback and Convertible models. The Liftback upgrades the Convertible with fog lamps, performance tires, 15-inch alloy wheels and sport suspension. An engine cooler comes standard on the five-speed manual transmission. Both models are equipped with standard air conditioning, power windows and locks, rear spoiler and floor mats.
