Overview
The Galant has a redesigned interior and exterior. The redesign of the Galant includes enhancements that make the Galant longer, wider and taller than last years model. A new 3.0L V6 engine with added horsepower and torque is available on the ES and standard on the LS and the GTZ models. The sporty GTZ model line is being introduced this year and comes equipped with a rear spoiler, white faced instrument panel and a sport tuned suspension. Another new feature on the Galant is the standard four-speed automatic transmission with an adaptive program which adjusts to each driver. Safety features making their first debut this year on the Galant are the driver and passenger side impact air bags which are only available on the ES, LS and GTZ models.
