Overview
The E55 is released late in the model year and boasts a 5.5L V8 349-hp engine, the most powerful engine available in the E-Class since the E500 in the early 1990+s. Lower-body and valance panels were designed exclusively for the E55 in order to give it a more powerful visual appearance. Standard luxury amenities include a power glass sunroof, a Bose audio sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control and a power tilt/scope steering wheel. Additionally, the E55 features standard safety equipment including dual front and side air bags, full side head protection curtains, ASR traction control and Xenon gas discharge high-intensity headlights. The only option available is a portable cellular phone/CD changer package.
