Overview
For 1999, the Jeep Wrangler is available in three models - the SE, Sport and Sahara and now includes next generation air bags with a passenger side deactivation switch. Also new are a redesigned frame (for lighter weight) and rotary heating, ventilation and air conditioning controls for easier use with a gloved hand. Optional equipment includes a hard top (with or without deep tinted glass), limited slip differential, cruise control, and a Sentry Key Immobilizer theft deterrent system that prevents the engine from running without a valid ignition key. For off-road purposes, the Wrangler includes the Quadra-Coil suspension system as well as slotted map holders, removable carpet, water resistant fabrics and drainage holes in the floor.
