Overview
The Econoline cargo van returns for the 1999 model year with minor changes to the interior and exterior. The Econoline cargo van lineup features several engines: 4.2L V6, Triton 4.6L V8, 5.4L V8, 5.4L V8 CNV (Compressed Natural Gas), 6.8L V10 and 7.3L DI Turbo Diesel. These engines do not require a tune-up until the engine has been driven 100,000 miles. The Econoline cargo van also comes equipped with depowered air bags (passenger air bag is optional on E350). New for 1999, four new clearcoat metallic exterior colors will be offered: Harvest Gold, Woodland Green, Deep Wedgewood Blue and Deep Emerald Green. Four-wheel disc brakes are now standard on all E350 super duty vans and dual cloth captain's chairs are optional for all models.
