Overview

The Dakota 2WD regular cab pick-up truck has many new changes. Some of these changes include the standard payload increased by 1,275 lbs and a new driver power window express down feature added to the Power Convenience Group. New optional features are steering wheel radio controls with the optional leather steering wheel and a standard passenger sun visor with a vanity mirror. The Limited edition (5000 units) R/T Package performance sport truck will continue to be offered for 1999. The Dakota 4WD has all the same new features as the 2WD. The 4WD offers an optional shift-on -the-fly full-time transfer case and a optional Skid Plate Group. The Skid Plate Group comes equipped with skid plates for the front suspension, fuel tank and the transfer case.
